What we do when we arrive
First, make it safe and secure: release the trapped car, get the door closed and locked, stabilize anything hanging. Then fix the cause — our trucks carry the common San Diego spring sizes, cables, rollers, and sensor parts, so the large majority of emergency calls are finished in the first visit. If your door needs a part we don't stock (rare panels, discontinued opener boards), we secure the door so your home is locked, and return with the part.
You approve a written price before repair work starts. An emergency is stressful enough without a surprise invoice.
Trapped car? Here's the 60-second fix
If the opener is dead but the door and springs are intact: pull the red emergency release cord hanging from the trolley, then lift the door by hand from the bottom — it should rise with moderate effort. If the door is extremely heavy or crooked, STOP: a spring or cable has failed and lifting can drop the door. That's when you call us and we get a tech heading your way.

Straight answers to common questions
My garage door won't close and I have to leave — what do I do?
Pull the red release cord, lower the door by hand, and slide the manual lock bar (or clamp locking pliers onto the track just above a roller). That secures the house until we arrive. Call us on the way — door-won't-close calls get same-day priority.
My car is stuck inside — can you really get it out today?
Yes. Freeing a trapped car is a make-it-safe job we do on arrival, usually within minutes — the full repair happens right after. Tell us when you call and we'll prioritize the dispatch.
Do you charge extra for same-day or weekend service?
Same-day and weekend calls during business hours cost the same as any scheduled visit, and the diagnostic fee is waived when you approve the repair. Late-night dispatches are quoted honestly on the phone before anyone drives out.
The spring snapped at 9 pm. Do I wait until morning?
If the door is closed and locks, you can safely wait and book the first morning slot. If the door is stuck open, call now — an open garage overnight is a security problem, and we'll either dispatch or walk you through securing it manually.
